Work has started on the new access road to the Hensel barracks currently under construction. With this project, the city of Villach, together with the Kostmann team, is creating a direct connection to the B100 - a decisive step towards better accessibility and significant relief for local residents.
A modern access road is being built over a length of around 1.2 kilometers, overcoming a height difference of almost 54 meters between Drautal Straße and the new barracks area. A total of 150,000m³ of earth will be moved. A construction project that requires technical expertise and precise teamwork.
The construction project will be implemented from August 2025 to July 2026. The new connection will create an efficient road that will provide optimal access to the Bundesheer area and make a sustainable contribution to the infrastructure in Villach.
