HBLA Klosterneuburg extension

Klosterneuburg, Lower Austria

The Kostmann team is currently building a modern extension for the HBLA and the Federal Office for Viticulture and Fruit Growing in Klosterneuburg. A multifunctional building is being created that will combine vine breeding, sustainability, farm-gate sales and a gym and ballroom area. The new building will be complemented by work and plant growth rooms for vine breeding, offices and ancillary rooms, a glass house for forcing the vines, spacious storage areas, a freight elevator and a garage for around 30 cars.

The new building will be directly connected to the existing school complex via a connecting bridge, combining solid construction on the lower floor and timber construction on the upper floor.

Around 2,200 m³ of reinforced concrete - including 350 m² of high-quality exposed concrete surfaces - will be used. Completion and handover is planned for February 2026.
