The Kostmann team is making great strides towards the home straight with the construction of the new Mikado multifunctional center in St. Johann im Pongau. Since the start of construction in April 2024, a pioneering place for young and old has been under construction here - a modern center that combines a kindergarten, a senior citizens' day center with a canteen kitchen, a doctor's practice and office space under one roof. The versatile building will be realized in a sustainable mixed construction of reinforced concrete and solid wood.
An impressive 6,000 m³ of concrete and around 700 tons of reinforcing steel were used for the two building structures, which are connected by a shared underground car park. Our team mastered a special technical challenge along Liechtensteinklammstrasse: thanks to an innovative shotcrete protection system, road traffic could be maintained during the entire shell construction phase. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2025 - we are already looking forward to the result!
