Construction Progress on the Haslach Gallery along the L26

Significant progress has been made on the construction project: The Haslach avalanche gallery on the L26 Kalser Landesstraße has been successfully completed and opened to traffic in December. Thanks to the efficient and dedicated project management by the team at Kostmann, the avalanche control embankments were also completed ahead of schedule.

This means that year-round, safe access to Kals am Großglockner is now a reality. As a result, safety in the region has already been ensured for the current winter season—a significant benefit for the local population.

The remaining work and the construction of the new bike path are scheduled to take place this year. Like the original road, the bike path will run outside the gallery structure and will significantly improve traffic safety for cyclists. The project is scheduled for completion by September 2026 at the latest.
